Charge Sweep Red Claws, Win Streak at Four

Canton Charge continue their recent success this week by increasing their winning streak to four games with two wins over the Maine Red Claws. On Tuesday the Charge and Red Claws both went on stretches but Canton was able to hold off Maine 106-90. Lead by Forward Tyrell Biggs' 20 points and seven rebounds. Dante Milligan continued his rebounding tear with 16. Antonio Graves made his season debut with the Charge and came off the bench to score 11 points. Canton native Keith McLeod led all scorers with 23 points off the bench. McLeod had been in camp with the Utah Jazz before being waived last week.

On Thursday Canton was lead by a balanced attack with six players in double figures and two more with nine points. Tyrell Biggs finished with 18 points to lead the Charge to the win. Kyle Gibson played what may be his best game of the season with 13 points seven rebounds and three assists. Charge forward Trent Strickland put the exclamation point on the Charge win late in the 4th quarter with a thunderous dunk in transition to bring the Canton crowd to its feet. Maine was led by Kenny Hayes who was in camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Speaking of Cavaliers former Cavalier Ricky Davis still waiting for his first triple double made his D-League debut for Maine finished with six points and four assists. Davis who last played in the NBA in 2009-2010 with the LA Clippers said before the game he is determined to show that he can be a team player and contribute to an NBA team this year.

Canton remains at home tonight to play the Erie Bayhawks at the Canton Civic Center. Erie comes to Canton with a record of 5-9.
