Charge Bounce Back in Franchise's First Win

Saturday night the Canton Charge playing in the second game of a back to back against the Texas Legends won 108-87 lead by another solid outing by first round pick Tyrell Biggs who finished the game with 24 points on 10 of 17 shooting and nine rebounds. Coach Jensen in post game interviews following Friday nights game expressed his displeasure in the teams rebounding effort. Saturday the Charge turned in a great performance on the glass, out rebounding the Legends by nine after being out rebounded the night before by eight. Forward Travis Franklin also bounced back after struggling on Friday and shot 8 of 9 from the field on his way to 18 points, Franklin also contributed seven rebounds. Forward Marcus Relphorde chipped in with 17 points and five rebounds. After the Charge were plagued by third quarter struggles in the first two games,  the Charge were sparked by a 13-0 run after halftime and never lost the lead. Credit should be given to Coach Alex Jensen and his coaching staff as the Charge made adjustments in several phases of the game including rebounding and defensive effort after Friday's game. The Legends were lead again by Booker Woodfox with a team high 23 points, three assists and two steals. Vance Cooksey added 15 points, four rebounds and eight assists. The Charge are now 1-2  and welcome the Fort Wayne Mad Ants to the Canton Civic Center Wednesday, December 7th at 7pm.
