Today ESPN and EA Sports announced the outcome of the Madden 12 bracket contest on ESPN.com. In some areas of the country in what might seem like a suprise Peyton Hillis dominated Michael Vick in the Finals with a 66% to 34% margin. But with a HUGE backing from Browns fans and some added help from pet loving sports fans everywhere it was never in doubt. Hillis began his upset quest by drawing a #10 seed and was matched up against Ray Rice handling him 62% to 38%. He then squeaked by Matt Ryan of the Falcons by a slim 1% margin. At that point Hillis took off and never looked back. In rounds three and four Hillis easily beat Jamal Charles and Aaron Rodgers respectively, which lead to a finals showdown with the controversial Vick. Hillis who is known for his hard, hit you in the mouth running style isn't afraid of the "Madden Curse" that seems to follow the player who is placed on the Madden cover saying;
"For people to believe in this so-called curse, I can't wait to prove people wrong," he said. "From what I believe and where I am in my spiritual life, it would be good to prove them wrong in that sense."
After the announcement on "SportsNation" on ESPN 2, Hillis said he was excited and was quick to thanks the loyal Browns fans who campaigned hard for him.
"I just want to tell them thanks and I'm going to play my best for them."
