Strong 2nd Half Gives Charge the Victory

Despite a sluggish first quarter, after which they trailed 33-22, the Charge picked up the 112-101 win at home versus the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The Charge outscored the Mad Ants in each of the final 3 quarters to pull out the win. Led by Jon Leuer's 20 second half points, Canton turned up the intensity on both ends of the floor and outplayed the visitors from Indiana. Coach Jensen attributed the 2nd half success to good ball movement and better offensive execution, leading to easier buckets. While the 21 Charge turnovers are still a concern, Canton out-rebounded Fort Wayne 41-29 and shot 61% from the field. Leuer finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds for his 2nd double-double in a Charge uniform. Arinze Onuaku also notched a double-double, already his 4th of this young season, with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Fort Wayne was led by Tony Mitchell's 21 points with Mike Anderson chipping in 15 points and 10 boards. The Charge improve their record to 3-5 while the Mad Ants fall to 2-6. Canton's next game is at home vs Springfield on Friday, December 14th @ 7:30PM
